OPEN CELL POLYURETHANE FOAM

When considering the proper foam for your application, you will want to understand the nature of the foam. 'Open (.05 lb./cu.ft.)' and/or 'Closed (2.0 lb./cu.ft.)' cell polyurethane foam provides superior insulation to all other installation methods, but each has its distinct differences. The difference is in performance, cost and application methods.

Open cell polyurethane foam is made from tons of tiny cells that are not completely closed. Air fills all of the open cells of the foam, making it softer to the touch (weaker than closed cell polyurethane foam).
